This feeling

This feeling is new to me
It haunts me day and night
I try not to give into temptation
But it’s getting too strong to fight

It runs through my body
A sort of electric spark
It spreads fiercely
With every beat of my heart

From the tips of my fingers
To the depth of my soul
This new feeling
Is threatening to swallow me whole

It takes over my mind
It’s in my every thought
I'm starting to feel like a hostage
This feeling has me caught
